Vice Chairperson of the Junior National Council (JNC) Loini Nangolo has called on the government to invest and upgrade water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure at schools and provide adequate funding for maintenance.

The 4th Junior National Council opened debates with the motion urging the government to invest in child-responsive, climate-resilient water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure in schools and communities across the country. 

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism in the Zambezi Region has cautioned residents in the Sibbinda Constituency to remain alert as wildlife continues to migrate through the area in search of water.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani said the budget allocated to the ministry will be used to  boost food production and ensure fair distribution of land.

The ministry has been allocated about N$1,8 billion.
