MPs urged to actively promote climate policies

The Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources says although Namibia does not have any climate change laws in place, it does not mean that parliamentarians do not have a role to play in the development and implementation of climate policies and climate actions. 

Kavango East records 15 deaths due to malnutrition

This was shared during an engagement meeting between the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Gender Equality Social Development and Family Affairs, the Health Directorate, and stakeholders at Rundu. 

Lodger mothers accompanying admitted babies cause bed shortages

In response to LPM's Utaara Mootu's inquiry about bed shortages at the Katutura Intermediate Hospital, Health Minister Kalumbi Shangula attributed the issue to the high numbers of lodger mothers accompanying admitted babies, causing overcrowding. 

Property Practitioners Bill tabled in Parliament

The Minister of Industrialization and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu, tabled the Property Practitioners Bill in Parliament yesterday. 

The bill, which replaces the outdated Estate Agents Act of 1976, aims to modernise and enhance the regulatory framework governing property practitioners in the country.
