Home Affairs Ministry registers 50,000 people

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security has reached its target of registering 50,000 people for birth certificates and identification documents through the ongoing mass registration.

Additionally, 7,332 applicants were registered as stateless and undocumented persons.

Over N$414,000 raised at Eenhana fundraising gala

The 14th edition of the Eenhana Annual Expo's fundraising gala dinner raised over N$414,000 towards its successful hosting. 

The event is scheduled for July 29.

The Rani Group of Companies became the official sponsor of the Eenhana Annual Expo after pledging N$100,000 to the initiative.

The recent preliminary result from the National Statistics Agency (NSA) reveals that the Swakopmund constituency population stands at close to 76,000, making it the largest constituency in Namibia, nearly three times its size since its inception in 1992.

Shack dwellers receive homes at Nkurenkuru

At least 24 low-income earners at Nkurenkuru's Kakuro location in Kavango West Region received houses built under the Shack Dwellers Federation (SDFN).

The project began on December 1, 2021.

Swakopmund Municipality, NHE pave way for decent housing

The Swakopmund Municipality has signed an agreement with the National Housing Enterprise (NHE) for housing provision.

Last year, about 805 residents from Swakopmund's DRC informal settlement received free plots from the municipality to construct brick houses and apply for electricity connections.
