Visits to Dune 7 Reduce because of Entrance Fee

The visitors to Dune 7 say the decision by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism to charge an entrance fee is preventing people from accessing the recreational facility.

The Dune is one of the nation's tourist landmarks that usually draws hundreds of visitors with its natural height.

Dune 7 in Walvis Bay has reopened to the public and will be operating from eight o'clock in the morning to seven o'clock in the evening every day. This follows after the Tourism Ministry with co-funding from the Game Product Trust Fund renovated facilities and gave it a facelift.

Public to start paying entrance fee at Dune 7

As of next month, the public will be required to pay an entrance fee at Dune 7, a popular tourist attraction near Walvis Bay.

This is according to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Public Relations Officer, who says the funds are needed to maintain the tourism facilities at the site.
