The re-elected Mayor of Okahandja, Johannes Hindjou, has pledged to improve the status of the town as well as provide better service delivery. Hindjou was re-elected for a third term. His deputy, Sophia Upithe, was also re-elected. Other officer bearers of the seven member council are Helmi Maruru, Gideon !Uwu-Khaeb, Sylvia Karuuambe, Frederick Shimanda and Hileni Iita.
