A woman is scheduled to appear in court today for allegedly escaping police arrest after she stole juice to feed her nine-month old twins. Security footage from inside Shoprite shows the woman taking juice, which she gave to her baby to drink. The value of the juice is said to be less than N$6. She was taken to the Rundu Police Station where officers intended to release her with a warning. However, the woman thought she will be arrested, and worried about her other child at home, she escaped from the charge office and was rearrested on Thursday. She spent last night in police custody, with her babies in a special room, police say. She will appear in court on Friday.
