On 01 April 1989, the day on which all hostilities between South African occupation forces and Swapo's People's Liberation Army was to be ceased, renewed fighting broke out at Ondeshifilwa and Okahenge village between the belligerent forces. As Namibians commemorate Heroes Day next week, NBC News visited the Okahenge and Ondeshifillwa villages to reflect on this day and how the battle played out.
