Members of the Kabulabula Conservancy in the flood plains of the Zambezi Region are happy with what has been achieved in the conservancy during 2024.
Key among these is spending close to $200,000 on drilling three community boreholes, among other achievements.
The manager of the Conservancy, Lubasi Mwananawa, told nbc News that it continues to make strides in community upliftment over the years.
Mwananawa further noted that the project to electrify villages within its area is progressing well, with the contractor already paying more than N$700,000 to start the project.
The conservancy also renovated the Mbalasinte Combined School for more than N$15,000, continues to assist the sub-khuta with N$18,000 in allowance, and has assisted vulnerable children with more than N$23,000.
Another project the conservancy is working on is the construction of more than 100 kraals designed to protect cattle from predators such as lions.
The Kabulabula Conservancy held its annual general meeting today to update members on the developments carried out this year.
