The Zambezi River is no longer able to sustain commercial fishing. This was said by a senior Lecturer in Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Namibia. Dr Clinton Hay, at a Seminar on the Fishers of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers, in Windhoek.
