Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel has expressed his interest in visiting Namibia to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, President Hage Geingob has received an invitation to attend the G-77 plus China meeting.
President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel is planning to visit Namibia in August this year, and discussions regarding the visit are currently underway between the two governments.
The specific details and agenda of the visit are still being worked out.
Similarly, President Diaz-Canel has extended an invitation to President Geingob to participate in the G-77 plus China meeting, scheduled to take place in September in Cuba.
The official letter of invitation from Diaz-Canel was delivered to President Geingob by Sergio De La Uz, the Head of the Mission of Cuba in Namibia, during a meeting at State House.
Cuba is expected to assume the presidency of the G77 & China, the largest and most diverse group comprising 134 member states that represent two-thirds of the members of the UN system.
