The Swapo Party in the ||Kharas Region introduced its newly assigned and reassigned leadership, with Lucia Witbooi as Chairperson.

During the party's regional Executive Committee meeting at Keetmanshoop, Coordinator Matheus Mumbala informed the attendees that the new leadership has a wealth of experience that will assist in grooming and improving the party's performance in the upcoming elections.

Among those that have retained their positions are Tom Alweendo and Laurencia Stephanus. The newcomers are Steve Ovambo, Emma Kantema Goamas, Itah Kandjii Murangi, Tuuliki Abraham, and Gaudentia Khrone.

On his part, Tom Alweendo called on the Swapo Party leadership to take pride in the current activities surrounding the discovery of oil and the development of green hydrogen.

During the gathering, Swapo Members from the Karasburg West District who are mostly working for grape-producing farms were provided with blankets as part of the district's social responsibility drive.
