The Government has announced a change in the dates for the memorial and funeral services for the late President Hage Geingob.

Initially, it was announced that Friday, February 23, and Saturday, February 24, would be the dates for the final memorial and state funeral service, respectively. However, Minister of Information and Communication Technology Emma Theofelus has announced that the memorial service will now be held on Saturday, the 24th, while the state funeral will be held on Sunday, the 25th of February.

Sunday, February 25, has also been declared a public holiday, which means that Monday, February 26, will also be a public holiday.
