The Balyerwa Conservancy donated items to four schools and two kindergartens in the Zambezi Region.

The donation includes stationery such as photocopy paper, pens, exercise books, and whiteboard markers.

The Chairperson of the Balyerwa Conservancy, Kabakarapo Harushando, pledged to invest in the education of a Namibian child.

"Balyerwa Conservancy is hereby pledging to assist the schools whenever funds are available. This year, 2024, Balyerwa Conservancy helped students of higher learning with funds amounting to N$60,000 to help them further their studies. Last year, Sauzuo schools also received from Balyerwa Conservancy 40 pockets of cement and 100 gum poles to start with their community hostel. With this assistance, Sauzuo Combined School has 940 bricks and will soon start with the construction of the community hostel."

Harushando noted the need to teach children about the benefits of conserving natural resources and how such resources can benefit them while they are young.

Beneficiaries welcomed the good gesture of the conservancy.

Receiving the donation on behalf of Chinchimane Circuit Inpector, Mbambazi Primary School Principal Obert Simasiku, commended the conservancy for always putting the Namibian child first.

Simasiku noted that the donation could not have come at a better time than now when schools are busy with examination preparations.

The Balyerwa Conservancy has called on its members to continue protecting natural resources and refrain from conducting illegal activities within the conservancy area.
