Natalie Russman, the Resident Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), bid farewell to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, today (Tuesday).

Professor Katjavivi highlighted several achievements during Russman’s tenure and expressed his eagerness for a continued strong partnership, noting that the Namibian Parliament has greatly benefitted from their collaboration.

He mentioned that KAS has supported Parliament in several e-parliament initiatives, including the transformation of the Parliament website, the development of the Parliament App, and the training of parliamentary research staff, among other support programs.

Russman, however, emphasized that her organization will continue to assist Parliament by facilitating connections between the Namibian Parliament and the German Bundestag for the exchange of expertise.

Russman’s four-year term of office will conclude in March this year.
