Young people in Okahandja gathered to deliberate on the National Youth Development Fund (NYDF).
The gathering aimed to share information about the newly established fund and how to correctly complete the application.
The engagement focused on educating the youth about who can apply, the required documents, and the age groups that qualify for the N$257 million fund.
During the discussion, the young people were empowered with knowledge on how to start a business, exploring ideas such as home shops and venturing into agriculture.
They were reminded of the documents needed to apply for the loan, including a certified identification card, a business plan, proof of address, and a bank statement for those who already own a business.
Young people were also informed that these loans come with a repayment period of up to five years, including a 12-month grace period, and do not require collateral.
