Rainfall during the Christmas week was quite intense across much of the Oshana, Ohangwena, Kavango East and West, and Zambezi regions, which mostly experienced scattered showers accompanied by flash flooding.

The Kunene, Otjozondjupa, and |Khomas regions received isolated to scattered rainfall during the Christmas week.

There were also reports of severe flooding in several locations in the northern regions.

On Christmas Eve, Mariental recorded 32 mm of rainfall, Garichanab 30 mm, followed by Okahao with 23.5 mm.

Caprivi River Lodge recorded 34.0 mm, Nakasa Rupara National Park 24.0 mm, and Katima Mulilo Airport recorded 15.3 mm.

On 26 December, the highest rainfall recorded was 15.0 mm at King Kauluma Village, while Ombika Gate recorded 9.8 mm, and Caprivi River Lodge recorded 1.0 mm.

The Hardap and ||Kharas regions recorded sporadic, isolated rainfall during the Christmas week.
