The 4x4 Initiative Foundation, a community group, carried out a community outreach programme in Khorixas, focusing on education support and youth development.

As part of the outreach, the foundation donated 35 pairs of school shoes to learners from Welwitschia Primary School, Eddie Bowe Primary School, and THF !Gaeb Primary School.

The donation was done in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister under the "Back-2-School Shoe Project".

The project, which has been running since 2017, aims to support children's right to education and restore dignity to learners in need.

This year alone, close to two hundred learners benefited, while over two thousand learners have received assistance over the past nine years.

Sidney Boois is the founder of the 4x4 Initiative Foundation and says, "So we are very thankful to the school that accorded us; we just say those kids that do not have shoes have a right in terms of Article 20, the right to education." Their responsibility is to study, but we cannot also see children being deprived in an undefined way. So we also came to support those learners."

In addition, the 4x4 Initiative Foundation launched its Boys Leadership Club at Cornelius Goreseb Secondary School.

The club aims to build character, leadership skills, discipline, and responsibility among boys, preparing them for their role in society.
One of the beneficiaries, Innocent Gurirab, had this to say.

"I want to just say that I feel very happy that I am given these shoes by the 4x4. And these guys are the best guys that I ever met in my life. Thank you."
