Various traditional and political leaders have described the late leader of Hai-||Om San Traditional Authority, Gaob David ||Khamuxab as a leader who cared for his people and who united the Hai-||Om community.

Sacky Kathindi, the Oshikoto Regional Governor, described ||Khamuxab as a visionary leader.

"The chief we are mourning here today has demonstrated leadership of unity and keeping the people together. Me being here with the delegation we mentioned, we came solely to pay our respect. I know it's not easy; we have challenges all over in life, but once we unite, we will do a lot. So my appeal to the incoming chief: you have a duty to perform to ensure that your people are united, to ensure that we hold hands together so that no Namibian should feel left out."

Moses ||Khumub, the Deptuy Minister in the Office of the Vice President said ||Khamuxab was a beacon of hope that made Hai||Om San community proud of their culture and identity.

"And precisely that, I stand here to attest that the recognition that was accorded to our Hai||om people in 2004 has indeed had a greater impact; that today, through the leader that we are mourning today, we have nurses, we have police officers, we have all sorts of people that have studied through the recommendation letter of our chief, and that is what the government is pleased to see."

Ondonga Leader Omkwaniilwa Fillemon Shuumbwa Nangolo described the late Gaob as a leader who was intelligent and impactful.

"I know his face; I know his voice; I know that he was an intelligent chief; and I know his position where we sit in the council of traditional leaders, and I know that he was not a talkative chief when we were in the meetings. But when he speaks, you will know that the lion has spoken. You will know that the lion has spoken."

||Khamuxab will be buried on 20 June 2026.
