Project Never Walk Alone, in partnership with the Roads Fund Administration, has distributed more than 400 pairs of shoes through its winter drive.

The initiative reached more than 100 barefoot children at Bloukrans Primary School near Dordabis, over 200 senior citizens at Groot Aub, and more than 200 children and adults at Okahandja Park in Windhoek.

Kasi Socks also donate more than 400 pairs of socks.

According to the Project Never Walk Alone Spokesperson, Nangula Mbako, the initiative goes beyond providing school shoes but seeks to restore the dignity of barefoot Namibians across different age groups.

More than 1,500 people also benefited from refreshments during the winter drive.

RFA Representative, Beaulah Garises said the organisation was proud to partner with the initiative, describing the initiative as an impactful intervention that goes beyond simply providing footwear.
