Restoration Concert On Track For Tonight

Project Never Walk Alone is hosting a restoration concert headlined by South Africa's gospel choir, Joyous Celebration.

The concert, which aims to restore and transform souls, will take place at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium in the capital on Saturday.

The show's first artist will take to the stage at four o'clock, with the main act, the Joyous Celebration Choir, expected to perform at midnight.

About 22 local artists are expected to complement the Joyous Celebrations choir.

1647 children in Kunene Region benefit from Project Never Walk Alone

1647 barefooted children in the Kunene Region will each receive a brand new pair of shoes this weekend through the Project Never Walk Alone initiative.

The founder of the 2-year-old project, Tim Ekandjo, says the project represents the dreams and aspirations of every barefoot child in Namibia who wishes to walk and pursue their dreams in the Namibian House.

Of the 1647 brand-new pairs of Namibian-made leather shoes, the Outjo circuit has been selected for the first phase in the region.

Project Never Walk Alone raises N$3 million

Project Never Walk Alone has, through its Great 50 Pledge initiative, honored President Hage Geingob, Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba, and Founding President Sam Nujoma.

The project raised over N$3 million through a dinner attended by business leaders and philanthropists to continue its work in ensuring that no Namibian child goes to school barefoot.

The recipients of the Great 50 award were selected by the Project Never Walk Alone team and included former First Lady Penehupifo Pohamba and First Lady Monica Geingos.

Standard Bank Namibia donates N$400,000 to Project Never Walk Alone

The Project Never Walk Alone has received a N$400,000 donation from Standard Bank Namibia.

The donation will provide shoes for 1,275 children in the Kunene Region.

In 2023, the project intends to hand over 10,000 pairs of shoes.

Standard Bank Namibia's Chief Executive Mercia Geises recalls her barefoot journey to school in the Kunene Region.

Geises hailed platforms such as the Never Walk Alone project for driving growth and change.
