The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture has launched its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, outlining priorities to improve education quality, expand access to learning and skills development, and strengthen sports, arts and culture.

The plan will address persistent challenges in the education sector and strengthen accountability and improve outcomes for learners.

Deputy Minister of Education Dino Ballotti said, "We are also aware of the risks, limited budgets, delays with land and procurement, and remote schools that are still hard to connect. We will deal with these openly. The plan provides for annual reporting, a midterm review, and a final evaluation so that the nation can indeed hold us to account."

The plan is expected to improve learning outcomes, infrastructure development, stakeholder engagement and sustainability.

It will also address bullying, unequal access to education and gaps in early childhood development.

The ministry is also strengthening vocational training to improve young people's employment prospects.

The plan also emphasises keeping learners in school and ensuring that graduates acquire skills that respond to employment opportunities.

The plan also prioritises sports, arts and culture to support youth development and expand opportunities for Namibians.
