The Constituency Councillor of Okorukambe in the Omaheke Region, Rocco Nguvauva, is pleased with the progress made by the government, through the Roads Authority, in completing upgrades to the Du Plessis Farm-Epukiro RC Road, to low volume seal standard.

Nguvauva says this is testimony to the sincerity of the government's promised development in the region.

He says discussions are further underway to extend the road, by another 10km from Epukiro RC to Epukiro pos 3.

The village headman at Epukiro RC, Adelbertus Madi, says the tarred road will save motorists a lot of time and bring about a reduction in accidents, particularly over the rainy season.

Another area that has been given much attention, according to Nguvauva, is the income-generating projects for unemployed constituents.

The Constituency Councillor is further advocating for a vocational training centre at Du Plessis Plaas, provided the institution has the infrastructure in place to cater for youth development.
