The National Assembly has adjourned its business until February 14, 2023.

Today's session did not consider any items other than the Speaker, Prof. Peter Katjavivi, his Deputy, Loide Kasingo, and Youth, Sport, and National Service Minister, Agnes Tjongarero, as well as Swapo Party Chief Whip in the House, Hamunyera Hambyuka, wishing fellow MPs the best of wishes for Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Thursdays are normally devoted to hearing answers from members of the Executive to questions posed by opposition MPs.

As all opposition party MPs were absent from the house, no answers were provided, and questions lapsed.

Three motions that were awaiting replies from their movers, who are all opposition party members, also lapsed because they were absent.
