About 36 homesteads were damaged by heavy rains during this week at Shamaghongo Village in Kavango East Region. Currently some affected villagers are being accommodated in their neighbours' houses. The Councilor of Mukwe Constituency Damian Maghambayi called on good Samaritans to assist the villagers. He stress that it takes long for one to fix a damaged thatch roof house, and hopes that those left homeless could be accommodated in tents.
