The African National Congress (ANC) has congratulated the Swapo Party on its 63rd anniversary.

The ANC says the Swapo Party's decisive actions to liberate Namibia from colonialism evoked the spirits of South Africans not to give up their quest for democracy.

The Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC), Fikile Mbalula, says both the ANC and Swapo Party have not abandoned the fight for the poor and the ideals of the liberation struggle.

Regional governors will now fall under the Office of the President, and their budgets will be transferred to the State House.

President Hage Geingob met with the governors at the State House to inform them about these changes.

A household recycling pilot programme was launched in Windhoek. It is aimed at effectively managing waste in Katutura's Luxury Hill area.
