The Namibia Correctional Services has commenced the process of recruiting 300 new intakes, while the Namibian Police will recruit an additional 1,000 intakes in 2023.

Being the catalyst for empowering young people in the country, the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service has embarked on a week-long seminar at Omaheke's Otjinene Constituency.

The meeting is aimed at equipping young people with skills in education, health-related matters, and business.

The Namibian Revenue Agency (NamRA) has donated forfeited goods worth more than N$100,000 to the Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture.

Backpacks, caps, and soccer balls were among the items donated.

Locals are encouraged to visit the National Archives to tap into the historically rich sound archives and acoustic collections available there.

The call was made at a workshop, where experts in the field shared knowledge on how to better raise awareness and promote sound collections.

There is a need to improve data and research on TB infections in the mining sector in the SADC region, which is said to be a serious concern.
