A 77-year-old Mathias Kaundinge who died on the 3rd of this month remains unburied as his children continue the search for his relatives in Eenhana.

Kaundinge was born in Eenhana but moved to Tsumkwe about 55 years ago.

It was there that he met a San-speaking woman Sara Nhombe, with whom he had children.

He has been working on farms in Otjozondjupa.

According to his elderly son, Kaundinge never returned to Eenhana after leaving.

His children say they have never met or known their father's family.

"We don't really know his family. We have never met them. I have been asking him over the years to take us to his family, but he kept refusing. Now that he has passed away, we don't even know how to contact his family," stated late Kaudinge's son Ellias Matheus.

Kaudinge is survived by his wife and six children.

"As his children, we will take full responsibility. We are busy with the funeral arrangements while waiting for any family members to come forward."

The children are appealing to anyone who may know Mathias Kaundinge's family in Eenhana to come forward and assist them in informing his relatives of his death.

The funeral is slated for the 2nd of October at Swartdak in Tsumkwe.
