A total of 921 taxpayers have defrauded the tax authorities of over N$ 136 million, according to the Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA)

According to a media statement issued on Wednesday by the revenue authority the taxpayers are employees of 56 institutions from both the private and public sectors.

Namibia imported goods worth N$ 4.8 billion from South Africa, while goods exported by Namibia amounted to a mere N$ 1.5 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of N$ 3.3 billion in November 2022.

The development manager of membership programmes within the International Paralympics Committee, Gabriel Ojeda concluded his three-day visit to the Namibian Paralympics Committee.

The Landless People's Movement (LPM) has suspended its councilor on the ||Kharas Regional Council, Gerrit Witbooi, for a period of three months.

Witbooi has been on the council since his election as Keetmanshoop Rural Constituency Councillor in 2020. 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform will set up dairy value chain development schemes as pilot projects in the Otjozondjupa and Omaheke regions.

These pilot projects are part of the measures recommended to save the dairy industry from collapse.
