Namibian filmmakers have shared with the nbc News what the opportunity created by Multi-Choice Namibia means for the growth of the film industry in the country in terms of skills development and employment creation.

MultiChoice Namibia has empowered more than 800 local filmmakers through their Ombura film project. 

Now in its second phase, the project has produced close to 19 Namibian films available on DStv, GOtv and Showmax, bringing Namibian stories into households across the continent. 

10th Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards entries now open

The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has congratulated the nbc and MultiChoice Namibia for successfully producing and launching thirteen locally produced films.

The two broadcasters recently launched the Mukorob Film Project.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) continues to promote local content as it premiered 14 short films in partnership with 'No Plot Productions'.

nbc's Director General, Stanley Similo, expressed pride in the project while calling on the business community to support the local film industry.
