Residents of Aminuis Constituency in the Omaheke Region have expressed strong concern about the socio-economic implications and environmental effects of the proposed Green Hydrogen Project.

They expressed these sentiments during a stakeholders' meeting on the Green Hydrogen Namibia project, which was addressed by Obeth Kandjoze at Aminuis constituency.

Residents, while commending the government's proactive approach in initiating a project of significant magnitude aimed at bolstering the nation's economy, expressed several reservations and concerns as well.

When promoting Namibia to the world as an alluring international investment destination, the discovery of oil and gas, the green hydrogen project, and crucial minerals are some of the noteworthy major developments.

The Mines and Energy Minister at the just-ended Oil and Gas Conference commended the collective efforts of those involved in promoting Namibia's investment potential, particularly acknowledging President Hage Geingob for intensifying the country's international profile.

The Namibian government and Hyphen Hydrogen Energy have signed the Feasibility and Implementation Agreement for the N$10 billion Green Hydrogen project.

The agreement was signed at State House by the respective parties.

The Feasibility and Implementation Agreement will serve as the governing document for the development, implementation, and operation of a green hydrogen project in the vicinity of the Tsau-||Khaeb National Park in the ||Kharas region.

Statehouse Press Secretary Alfredo Hengari stressed that President Hage Geingob is a champion for a better future for the youth in Namibia.
