A delegation from Vojvodina, a province in northern Serbia, visited the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), where it announced fully funded scholarships for Namibian students to pursue studies in technical fields.

The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in Serbia and Namibia’s Khomas Region have signed a letter of intent to deepen cooperation in key areas including energy, agriculture, economy, culture, tourism, youth, sports, and environment.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has thanked the management of Delta Primary School for showcasing Namibia's culture, diversity, and stability during the Joy of Europe Festival that was held in Belgrade, Serbia.

The President received the school learners and teachers at State House.

Namibia and Serbia are looking at promoting cooperation in defence as well as organising a Joint Defence Committee.

This, according to the Serbian Ambassador to Namibia, Miloš Perišić, will allow Namibia's armed forces to be trained by the Serbian Defence Academy through scholarships.
