The community held a series of demonstrations last year to have the principal removed.

Since the beginning of December 2023, the region has recorded 78 new malnutrition cases.

The councillor for the Okorukambe constituency in the region, Rocco Nguvauva, issued the warning after he was denied access to some commercial farms in the constituency.

Omaheke crop farmers receive tractors

Crop farmers in the Omaheke Region in all seven constituencies have received 25 new ploughing tractors to improve the region's planting and harvesting capacity.
