Police Inspector General Joseph Shikongo says the force this year aims for excellence in the execution of its services.

Shikongo was speaking at the opening of the five-day leadership development training course at Tsumeb in Oshikoto Region.

Lieutenant General Shikongo expressed that training courses undertaken by top police officials across the country are crafted to ensure that the public is served efficiently and effectively.

Lieutenant General Shikongo says a crime-free environment attracts investors, leading to economic growth and the creation of numerous opportunities, such as job creation.

Speaking at a community engagement session at Oshakati, Lieutenant General Shikongo recognised the community as a strong pillar in the fight against crime.
