A 24-year-old woman was denied bail in the Outapi Magistrate's Court today after facing two counts of attempted murder.

A resident of Iikokola Village in the Oshikoto Region, Sinkus Johannes made his first court appearance in the Ondangwa Magistrates' Court on charges of murder and attempted murder.

In Gobabis, one of the leaders of the A Right to Shelter Association has been arrested on charges of attempted murder and negligent driving. According to the police, the incident occurred when he allegedly struck an officer who was performing his duties.

The police have recorded six murders and culpable homicide cases, two attempted murder cases, and one assault case over the weekend.
