SWAKOPMUND HEALER SEEKS SUPPORT FOR MASSAGE TABLE

Swakopmund resident Maria Bloodstaan, who has used her hands to heal aching bodies and comfort struggling community members for the past 50 years, is seeking help to procure a massage table.

Currently, the 60-year-old Bloodstaan uses her bed to treat clients.

NAMIBIA TO HOST SADC PUBLIC ACCOUNTS WORKSHOP

Namibia will host the SADC Organisation Public Accounts Committee Peer Review Programme and training workshop at Swakopmund from 18 to 23 May 2026.

About 100 delegates are expected to attend, including representatives from South Africa, Malawi, the Seychelles, Lesotho, Zimbabwe and Eswatini.

The #BeFree Movement hosted its #BeFree Ballers, a youth-centred initiative bringing together young men, mentors and service providers to engage in conversations on masculinity and sexual reproductive health amongst others.
