The SADC, African Union, and the African Centre for Governance (ACG) have commended the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) for the peaceful conduct of the elections and efforts to include inmates and diaspora citizens in the voting process.

The Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security Cooperation is urging stakeholders in Mozambique to ensure peace and stability ahead of the official announcement of the election results.  
  

SADC has proposed that the issue of the ongoing conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) be escalated to the African Union and the United Nations.

The Minister of Justice, Yvonne Dausab, delivered a keynote address at the Pan-African Parliament, emphasizing the role of civil society in promoting democracy, human rights, peace, and security within the African Union.

The African Union Peace and Security Council says political will from all parties is key to the effective implementation of the Peace, Security, and Cooperation Framework in the DRC.

President Hage Geingob left for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he will join other African leaders for the 36th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit.

AU member states are expected to decide on bold policies and investment actions to accelerate the continent's industrialisation drive.

The discussions will take place during the African Union Summit on Industrialisation and Economic Diversification, to be held in Niger next month.
