South Africa's former Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has died at the age of 75.

The news was confirmed by his family in a media statement.

Six months after the death of President Hage Geingob, who would have celebrated his 83rd birthday today, Namibians gathered at Heroes' Acre for a remembrance ceremony.
 
Dr. Geingob, Namibia's third president, died on February 4th this year.

A 58-year-old man plummeted to his death from a 15-metre-high water tower in Otjiwarongo on Saturday.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) is mourning the death of the !Ah Radio FM producer, Willie Naka (40), on Wednesday.

Naka, also known as Kutima, joined the nbc in Tsumkwe on a fixed-term contract as a producer in December 2003.
