Vendors at Outapi have welcomed the introduction of a Flea Market Day by the Outapi Town Council.
The business initiative, which started in May, is aimed at providing a platform to all vendors to market and sell their products to generate income.
The Outapi Town Council has donated 10 bundles of super bricks, a window frame, and ten bags of cement for the construction of a decent ablution facility at the Sophia Shaningwa Kindergarten at Outapi.
The Chief Daniel Shooya Combined School at Otsinka Villages also received bags of cement.
The Outapi Mayoral Dinner has raised over half a million dollars towards the development of its informal settlements and the construction of an open market for vendors.
Currently, Outapi has a population of about 15,000 people, and the town continues to grow rapidly due to rural-urban migration.
