The 5th annual OTT Streaming Platforms and Content Management Summit, underway in Cape Town, South Africa, has paid tribute to the late Founding President Dr Sam Nujoma.

Nujoma died on the 8th of February aged 95.

Among the many contributions of Namibia's late Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma, one of the most notable was the establishment of the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) Television Services in July 1992. 

There is a need to build a bridge between industry demands and academics in the area of media and journalism.

 It is for this reason that the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation entered into an agreement with the Namibia University of Science and Technology.

In a recent interview with the Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc), Stanley Similo highlighted major productions by the national broadcaster and how the corporation, through its different platforms, kept the nation abreast of the latest information in and outside the country.
