NamPower implements 40 MW Otjikoto Biomass Power Project

NamPower is set to commence a more than N$2 billion 40-megawatt biomass power station in Otjikoto, near Tsumeb.

The national power provider signed an agreement with the implementers and funders in Windhoek.

NUDO SG withdraws from presidential race

NUDO Secretary General Joseph Kauandenge has withdrawn from the presidential race due to what he termed infighting within the party.

Kauandenge says more time is spent quelling internal fights instead of advancing the party, something that he says will bring down the party if not stopped.

Angola to open energy market

Angola has indicated that it can supply Namibia with electricity. 

Namibia's Ambassador to Angola, Patrick Nandago, said this during an interview with nbc News.

According to Ambassador Nandago, Angola is close to becoming self-sufficient in energy generation and distribution.

Namibia, Angola to review and renew agreements

Namibia and Angola have agreed to review and renew some of their agreements.

This was resolved during the Senior Officials Meeting that was held ahead of the Inaugural of the Bi-National Commission in Angola.
