Members of Parliament in the National Assembly have voiced support for global solidarity, introducing motions affirming solidarity with Cuba, Palestine, and the decolonisation of Western Sahara.

Swapo Party MP Leevi Katoma moved a motion expressing unwavering solidarity with Cuba, highlighting the historical ties between Namibia and Cuba. 

For years, Namibia disapproved of the United States' economic blockade against Cuba.

Landless People's Movement MP Henny Seibeb presented a motion emphasising solidarity with Palestine amidst the escalating conflict in the Gaza Strip, calling for adherence to international law, an immediate ceasefire, and support for a two-state solution.

Swapo MP Patience Masua introduced a motion asserting Namibia's support for the urgent decolonisation of Western Sahara and the Saharawi people's right to self-determination, condemning Morocco's illegal occupation, and calling for a free and fair referendum under UN supervision.
