The United Democratic Front's president, Hendrik Gaobaeb, at an Outjo rally, said the party's agenda is to change the country's administration to address issues affecting the people.

The issues the party aims to address are land distribution, high water tariffs, and the rising unemployment rate, among others.

Gaobaeb offered an alternative to the unemployment crisis.

"We must start to stop in Namibia to export raw material. We must do it for the final product in Namibia, add value, and then export it. That will create work and employment in Namibia."

UDF Member of Parliament, Dudu Murorua, says community members in their areas cannot continue being poor while the country is endowed with minerals.

"The natural resources and the allocation of EPLs have to be done in such a way that it has to benefit the people of the region. We cannot just issue EPLs on the basis of them having much money; we have also taken a decision long ago that if a person wants to buy a farm in Namibia, 51 percent of shares of that farm must belong to a Namibian."

Murorua urged eligible voters to ensure that they vote for the UDF.

UDF claims to have recruited 350 new members this week at Outjo, of whom some are returning members.

At the rally, the UDF leadership presented a voters education session to ensure that their members know where to put their cross on the ballot papers on November 27.
