The body of a man, whose identity cannot be revealed at the moment, has been retrieved from the Kasaha channel in the Makoma area of Kasika 8 in the Zambezi Region.
The man, who was the driver of a Toyota pickup, was involved in a car accident Friday night when the vehicle overturned and rolled into the channel.
Four other occupants of the vehicle survived by getting out through the windows before the vehicle sank to the bottom.
His body was retrieved by the police's water wing and the Navy from the Lieutenant John Mutwa Navy Base at Impalila Island.
Efforts are ongoing to retrieve the vehicle from the water channel.
It is not yet known what caused the accident, and police investigations continue.
