The U.S. media has reported that a federal judge in that country has ordered the Trump administration to temporarily lift its freeze on the U.S. humanitarian and development funding, which had halted aid operations globally.

The ruling, issued late Thursday, stated the financial devastation caused by the sudden cutoff of payments to suppliers and nonprofits executing U.S. aid programmes overseas.

The administration now has five days to demonstrate compliance with the order.

In Namibia, the U.S. Embassy has yet to respond to enquiries regarding how this funding freeze affected USAID operations, including potential job losses or programmes disruptions there.

This ruling is one of several recent legal actions against the Trump administration's executive orders.

Another judge ruled against an executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants.

Additionally, a temporary injunction halting an executive order that sought to cut federal funding from hospitals providing gender-affirming treatments to transgender minors was granted.
