New Members of Parliament in the National Assembly took to the podium to deliver their first official speeches.

During these moments, they opened up about their personal journeys, the challenges they've faced, and the goals they've set for their time in office. Their messages gave the nation a glimpse into who they are and what they stand for as they step into their new roles.

IPC's Alosius Kangulu said MPs must never forget the everyday struggles of ordinary Namibians.

He raised concern about police officers, correctional service staff and NDF members, whom he said live in poor conditions .

Kangulu said it is unacceptable that they still live in such bad conditions and called on the minister responsible to urgently fix the situation.

Another IPC MP, Nelson Kalangula, the shadow Minister of Works and Transport, spoke about how many pilots and aviation workers lost their jobs after the closure of Air Namibia.

AR MP George Kambala said Namibia belongs to all its people, especially the youth.

He said he stands in Parliament to represent young people, including entrepreneurs, artists, unemployed graduates, contract workers, and homeless parents.

Kambala shared he refused to give up and is in Parliament to fight for change.

NUDO MP Vetaruhe Kandorozu talked about the challenges he faced in his political journey, citing how he survived internal politics.

PDM's Rosa Mbinge-Tjeundo, who was a teacher for over 25 years, said her background in education has shaped her professional path.

She expressed concern about Namibia's high level of imports, saying it weakens local industries and makes the country too dependent on foreign goods.

Mbinge-Tjeundo warned that this could cause economic problems in the long run.
