The NBC and the Namibian Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding that would see the two entities cooperate in a number of areas.
Through the MoU, the nbc employees including the nbc Board of Directors will receive training in different areas.
The nbc will promote and market NIPAM products and services on its platforms.
The MoU will also allow the two parties to carry out joint research studies on topics beneficial to both institutions.
The Director General, Stanley Similo says that the MoU will provide an opportunity for both entities to grow.
"We believe that through the office in particular, we will be able to capacitate our own staff, as you know today that knowledge management is key toward things to happen, so if this allows us to take some of our nbc staff through activities, that we will enhance and give them the knowledge that they need in order for the nbc to be better then I believe NIPAM is the right partner.
NIPAM's Executive Director Maria Nangolo also welcomed the signing of the MoU.
"Our mandate is to capacitate the public sector of which the public enterprises are part and nbc being a beneficiary of that as well, so with regards to our mandate, we will be able to bring forth the research aspect, as with communication there is and social research.
The agreement will further promote and develop areas mutual of interest in fields such as consultancy, and marketing.
