Local councillor assures community of new borehole drilling

Villagers at Mateke in the Kavango East Region need potable water.

The villagers claim that their lives are at risk due to human-wildlife conflict. 

The villagers say they walk about five kilometres to fetch water and are prone to being attacked by crocodiles.

Okahandja municipality launches key projects to enhance service delivery

The Okahandja municipality is embarking on a number of projects to improve service delivery.

Among the projects are the construction of a fire station, the consolidation of plots 117 and 118, developing agricultural plots for the residents, and the Okahandja Medi Park.

Namibia plans new desalination plant

This announcement was made by Carl Schlettwein, the Minister of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform, during his address at a Land Development Conference in Henties Bay.

NamWater decreases water supply to City of Windhoek

NamWater has decreased water supply to the City of Windhoek from 75% to 40% of the total demand.

This is because three dams supplying water to Windhoek are running low due to a minimal inflow during the rainy season.

This came to light during the council's meeting.

This, they claim, will severely affect their business.
