Heavy rains destroy 36 homesteads in Kavango East Region

About 36 homesteads were damaged by heavy rains during this week at Shamaghongo Village in Kavango East Region. Currently some affected villagers are being accommodated in their neighbours' houses. The Councilor of Mukwe Constituency Damian Maghambayi called on good Samaritans to assist the villagers.

Search for rest of body of crocodile attack victim at Rundjara continues

A search team from the Ministry of Environment, Tourism, and Forestry only managed to recover the head of a male victim , who was caught by a crocodile at Rundjara in the Kavango East Region.

The Governor of the Kavango East Region, Bonifatius Wakudumo, is of the view that infrastructure does not have an impact on teaching and learning, as those taught under temporary structures could produce great results.

Wakudumo said this when he visited the Rundu Project School.

Mashare Berries Farm expected to create more employment

Mashare Berries Farm in the Kavango East Region is expected to create more employment, following the expansion of its production with 40 more hectares.

For the past four years, the farm has been operating on 20 hectares piece of land.
