Lawyer Kadhila Amoomo has announced that they will not be pursuing the bail application for Michael Amushelelo. Instead, the legal team will focus on the bail application for Dimbulukeni Nauyoma. The two lawyers are providing pro bono representation for the activists.

According to the legal team, they have enlisted the services of an advocate to assist in the defense of Amushelelo. Postponing his bail application will allow the advocate to have ample time to consult with the client.

The bail application for Nauyoma is currently underway, with defense lawyer Milton Engelbrecht leading the examination-in-chief. The legal team has indicated that they will spare no effort to secure bail for their client and ensure that their rights are protected.

The decision not to proceed with Amushelelo's bail application at this time, the lawyer says should be seen as a strategic move by the team.
