Namibians from diverse backgrounds and regions who were unable to physically attend the burial of the late President Hage Geingob came together to follow the proceedings through various nbc platforms, paying their respects to the leader in a collective moment of reflection.

While some watched the burial proceedings unfold on their television screens, others followed on radio and digital platforms.

Indeed, it was a solemn occasion that continued to touch many hearts and brought tears to those following and those presenting behind the scenes.

Kati FM's radio presenter, Ebber Aikuti, says she was overwhelmed with emotion and sometimes could not manage to detach herself as she presented programmes paying homage to the late President.

Despite the physical distances separating them, a sense of shared grief flooded the hearts of all.

An emotional Sigili Ntoni, who followed the proceedings on the radio, said she will be part of those who will preserve the legacy of a leader who touched the lives of so many.

Grade seven learner Taimi Sam was also following the proceedings on the radio.

As the burial ceremony drew to a close, a sombre yet hopeful spirit lingered in the air, symbolising not only the end of an era but also the beginning of a new chapter in Namibia's history.
